The client

Ma Petite Toile is an online shop selling personalised canvases: the customer's photo printed on canvas, or a name board composed from templates and backgrounds. Visitors design their canvas themselves, see it as it will be printed, then order.

The problem

The shop ran on Shopify with a third-party personalisation app. That app limited the possible configurations and could not offer everything the shop wanted to sell.

The configurator took several seconds to load.

The goal

Make the shop's life simpler: add a new design or product without depending on a third-party app, and make the site much faster.

Give customers an instant, faithful preview of their canvas, so they order exactly what they see.

The solution

The visible part of the site was rebuilt from scratch: catalogue, photo canvas and name canvas configurators, cart and order tracking. Image processing now happens in the browser: the preview updates instantly and the final image is already generated when the order is placed, so it matches what the customer saw.

Shopify stays in place behind the scenes: orders, payment and shipping are still handled there. Only the customer experience was custom-built.
